Executive Director

Education / Degrees: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University; Master’s degree in Counseling from Bowling Green State University.
Professional Experience: I started as a counselor in Lima, Ohio working with children and families. On December 4, 2000, I came to Pathways. I was a therapist for most of my time here until I transitioned into administrative roles. I became the Executive Director in 2013.
Interesting Facts: I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters more than anything else. They are some of the coolest people on the planet. When I was young I did impressions of famous people. My “Ronald Reagan” was a hit at family gatherings.
What I like about working with people: First, I get to work with great people! Secondly, I love it when people exceed their own expectations.

What I like about working with people: I enjoy seeing differences, similarities, and patterns with everyone. We are all in this boat together trying to figure out how to get from point A to point B in our lives.

Professional Experience: Undergrad internships at Family Resource Center of Lima as well as St. Rita’s Medical Center, worked from 1991-1996 at Maumee Valley Guidance Center in Defiance and Napoleon.
Interesting Facts: I assist with the P.A.R.T.Y. (Putnam Adolescent Response Team for Youth) and I coordinate the J.E.D.I. program (Junior Educational Development Institute)
What I like about working with people: I love working with all ages, but I particularly like working with the tweens and teens.  They make me feel young and I feel I can connect with them.

Professional Experience: I have worked at Pathways Counseling Center since June 1993. Work experience includes but is not limited to Individual Counseling of children, teens, and adults, School Counseling, Early Childhood Consultation, Supportive Employment, and a multitude of other services related to community mental health.
Interesting Facts: I am married with two children. I enjoy crocheting and photography.
What I like about working with people: Watching people evolve into confident individuals who can make positive changes happen for themselves in their everyday relationships.

Education / Degrees: B.F.A. Dance and Choreography from Ohio University; B.A. Criminology from Ohio University; M.A. Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University
Professional Experience: I have provided services as a counselor within private practices for six years. I work predominantly with youth and family units. Currently, I am practicing in the schools and enjoy it tremendously. I specialize in stress management, mind-body connection and self-esteem building with youth. I also have much experience with marital counseling and critical incident stress management.
Interesting Facts: I currently own and operate two small businesses and love every aspect of working with youth in the fine arts arena. My specialty is dance education however, my studio also provides classes in tumbling, instrumental, theatre, and vocal. My motto for my dance students is faith, family, and fine arts- if we focus on life in that order happiness is inevitable. I am married with two children and love being a mom!
What I like about working with people: The enjoyable aspect of working with people is experiencing that ‘ah ha’ moment when it seems like everything clicks and life takes a turn for the better. We are all on a journey to improve our lives and it is an honor to take that journey with my clients.

Professional Experience: I have been active in the field of mental health for over 36 years working in a variety of clinical, academic and administrative roles. My work has included providing clinical assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, adults and geriatric clients. I have taught Psychology on the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level including several years teaching in the Seminary environment. My specializations include Marriage and Family therapy, Mood Disorders, Forensic/Correctional psychology, Geriatric Psychology, Developmental Disability and Christian Counseling.
Interesting facts: I have a long history of involvement in music and theatre performance including roles in musical theatre, light opera, singer and dancer at Opryland USA, and vocal soloist in church worship for 50 years. I have for many years been involved, as an expert commentator, in radio, television and the print media.
What I like about working with people: I enjoy working with people as they practice resilience and overcome the challenges of life through the process of change while maintaining hope, being grateful, and acquiring a deeper integrated understanding of their spirit, mind, and body.

Interesting Facts: Served in US Army during medical school and through 2014. Was born and raised in Ottawa, Ohio and am very blessed to have had the opportunity to return here with my family after completing my service.
What I like about working with people: I prefer and enjoy the 1:1 personal interactions I am afforded by my profession and am humbled by the trust people place in me on a daily basis. I pride myself on being a sincere listener and being able to work with people in this type of setting has always seemed a natural fit for me. I am an active member of the Putnam County Task Force for Youth, Ohio Teen Institute, and also the Friends of Mental Health. I also am the coordinator for the Putnam County Family and Children First Council.
